Hi Everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I was just wondering weather I should change the Fuel Filter how much difference does it make?

Also is a cheep one off Ebay ok I should I get a Genuine one? £6 looks good right in till my engine blows up!!!! Or are they all much of a much ness....... just paying for the name?

in my opinion its always worth changing the fuel filter everytime you service the car, as for the ebay ones they all seem to be the same.

 

Easiest & cheapest job to do on a Scooby! Clean delivery of fuel to any car is important, probably more so with Scoobies. Branded ones are ok - I usually fit Blue Print (Mann, Fram e.t.c. are all ok).

 

Blue print prob best make but all do the same! should do this every year or so!!

Three minute job, after reading this I've just run out into the garage, picked up my new one and fitted it. Not been done for a while, so I though why not. Not sure what brand, but the car runs okay.

 

Genuine every time. It's too important a piece to risk fuel starvation on a cheapo filter. Especially the in line ones that seem to flow badly.

How much will you save on a cheap one - 6 quid maybe ?? How much for an engine build?
