hello people. got my first scooby wrx turbo last week. (1995 import model). i am having a problem.

when my car is warmed up, its making a tapping noise really loud. when i depress the clutch, the noise goes quieter, but not completely gone. when i put in gear and drive it, it make a the same tapping or ticking noise, but very loud and faster. i thought it maybe the thrust bearing, but thinking not cos its stil there even when the car is running and in neutral.

any ideas would be very greatful....cheerz.
