From: sweating my ass off in a busy kitchen
Right long story short. While driving home from work yesterday i noticed a rubbing sound coming from the near side rear wheel area. when i got home i jacked the rear side of the car up and had a tug at the wheel to see if there was any play but got none. I dropped the hand brake and rotated the wheel fully a few times but could not see or hear anything rubbing or catching. I've had a quick look under the car and as far as i can see nothing seems to be out of place etc. i had the rear bearings done about 18 month ago so i would of thought they would still be fine. My only other guess would be the rear diff. But i'm not too sure if it would make the same kind of noise.
Can you guys and girls come up with any more suggestions as to what it might be. The car is booked in at API tomorrow for an MOT so i will run it past David as well but was just after a couple of suggestions as it's doing my head in and i want to know what it might be.
All suggestions great fully received
Not sure it's neede but the car is a MY99 UK turbo
