hi im having a nightmare getting full boost iv got a 1998 2000 turbo and am only boosting to 0.5 bar iv cleaned the solenoid valve and checked the boost pipes all seams ok looking for some where i can take the car to sort it out im new to the scoob world and live in wigan/manchester area. is there anyway plugging the car into a computer would help?

Change the wastegate valve, the springs can soft on these apparently and if you replace it you'll get full boost.

I had this discussion with my local garage after I recommended someone to them, but the numpty wouldn't listen, even after a second opinion.
