how hard to replace subframe ?

Default how hard to replace subframe ?

will i need a subframe alignment or is it a general pig of a job

im about to strip the rear end off my impreza to do all the bushes,,, so wondering how much of a bitch this is gonna be

easy enough mechanically and nothing heavy. watch out for subframe bolt nearest fuel vapour pipe thats held in place with plastic clip thing. the bolts go into captive nuts and i managed to break this one free, had to cut through the chassis in the end and weld it all up after.

i replaced my rear brake lines with kunifer ones while i was at it, something to maybe consider.

rear toe is adjusted by bolts holding two furthest back control rods to subframe. i just marked the position and refitted no uneven tyre wear yet.

i just cut the rubber bit of bushes out then gently hacksawed the outer metal sleeve. new poly ones are doodle to fit.

took me a wee while as i painted every thing up.

im doing all rear bushes and also considering painting them up also,,,, but not sure as im curbside pmsl, might take it round the garage though but the local garage to my house will press everything out means ill have to get a bus back
