The WRX RA has a fifth injector in the centre of the inlet manifold.
It is fully plumbed in to the fuel supply and connected electrically.
My question is..... Does it work ? I have had one informed opinion that it never actually operates

Anyone know why it's there ??

I'm sure that it does work, but I haven't physically seen fuel being sprayed through it myself. With a PossumLink and many other ECU's too it is disconnected due to the limitations of the computer.

In addition to the reply above, I have had 2 emails from individuals who "know their stuff" One said he's never seen it work, the other said it runs for high speed enrichment.

My reason for asking is that I am re-plumbing the fuel rail with a twin feed and I wanted to know whether it's worth including No5 injector or not ?

I guess I'll need to monitor it with a meter and see if it energises.
