Talking Should i buy?

hi there was just wondering if its a good idea or not to buy a subaru impreza 4wd 2ltr sport 1998 with 150,000 miles on it and a full 12 months MOT? or is this a stupid idea the car wont have been thrashed as it belonged to an estate agent ANY HELP ?

beware of the description then, if he told you spacious boot with good rear aspect then it means he has crashed it.

okay am going to get my dad to look over the car obviously before considering properly weather to buy or not just hopeing for the most advise i can get (anyone know common problems to look out for and that kind of thing)

Its a lot of miles, but it depends on price, There is so much out there at the moment you could almost name your price on a car like this.
Have a good old look through the history, Check the service intervals. They are fairly solid cars but consider all the consumables too, how old is the clutch? the tyres? the brakes?

Do a car checker on it https://www.carcheck.co.uk/ it costs a few quid but at least you can find out if its been subject to any insurance payouts etc.

Well the price will be about 600 so not alot considering what some sell for hopefully it will be a great car but the last 1 i was going to buy which was a 1.6 was totaly (*ucked) so bit sceard about people lying about there cars hopefuly its a old man that owns it that looks after his car really well then its a bargin i suppose
