This is how i understand it .......
When you lift off the throttle the ecu tells the injectors to cut the fuel and adjust the timing. The fuel comes back in at a certain RPM to stop the car stalling e.g 1050 rpm.

If your car was mapped for pops and bangs then the mapper would probly turn the cut off rpm to 5000 ish and retard the timing.
In other words put fuel in without making it combust so it gets in your nice hot exhaust and goes POP.

yes, the timing is retarded by the mapper to induce pops and bangs, basically what i like to call "plastic anti-lag"

Mine has it but doesn't do it as much, as I have a VTA bov, it works best with a recirculating bov or dump valve.

If you have it mapped, ask the mapper to map in some mild anti-lag, its possible on Ecu'tek, its not the full blown anti-lag you get from an aftermarket ECU, but it sounds good when it kicks in.

Some fit a little LED which flashes when its enabled so you can actually drive around it if your town driivng etc.

Its done by altering timing etc

It might be running slightly rich mate, can cause it sometimes as far as im aware.

Do you get a nice wiff of petrol on hard acceleration or anything, this could confirm it running rich. You need a fvckin gas mask in mine sometimes..lol
