Default diesel in petrol help

hi guys i got a big problem i accidently put diesel in my 1997 subaru impreza wrx today i only put 2.30 before i relised then put another 6.50 of unleaded in to get me home now wen i start it it runs like a bag of ****e,how do i go about draining the system and putting fresh petrol in and what will need to be changed

You could bridge out the fuel pump relay and remove the fuel inlet pipe to the filter and pump the fuel out that way i would probably change the filter.

as above drain it out. Id then put a gallon or two in and pump that out to flush it, Then fit new filter and refill.

i would not bridge at relay as its a pitta to get to, I'd take the plate out the offside boot floor (4screws) then run a live and earth straight to the pump from the battery via a fuse for safety. Where you based?

im in atherton near manchester ill try doing that today turbotits then fill up and see how it goes

i drained all the petrol out this morning and put about 12 quids worth in i emptied the fuel filter and put that back on as i cant get hold of another one at the moment it did start but theres just no power there at all like its running on two cyliders or somthing any chance it could be the spark plugs,it could of cooked them as when i drove home after filling it i did about 3 mile to get home
