bigger turbo, wing mounted induction kit, fuel pump and remap will prob be about all you'll need.

judging by the other thread, you'll need to stop writing like a retarded chav to get your answer.

This is a gentle push to get you to use correct English, please take it on board and try again.

Dont need an induction kit either, standard air box is good for 350+ and it has been proven. Unless you are going for a FMIC but thats a whole new can of worms.

Ive just had my 04 STI UK tweaked to 340bhp last week by David at API. Had a VF37 twin scroll turbo, headers, exhaust and re-map. The air intake is fine as is and he`s just angled the tmic a bit. Just need to save up my pennies to upgrade the brakes and suspension now, to cope with the increase in power.

Surely the VF35 (think thats the one on the 04 STi) should be able to make 320 - 330 with an ECUTEK3 remap?

Is it worth spending hundereds of pounds on a slightly bigger turbo if all you want to do is get to 350?

wouldn't it be a better idea to upgrade the suspension and brakes first?

The drivel police are on patrol! (I'm on your side)
It wasn't as bad as some? The second half was fine!

Suspension always helps with anything, but the standard brembo's will cope with mid 300's easily, id only go through all the cost if your going over 400+

Coming over to an Evo from a scoob the major flaw i see is the TMIC, people will say otherwise but its a big ***** in the scoobs armour for more power, the standard headers too.

Standard turbo on an sti will make 350..ish with uprated headers, full 3" de-cat, and fuel pump and re-map....or should be close.

My my53 sti made 355bhp with upgraded top mount (APS), APS cold air ik, Miltek exhaust and remap. SO the vf35 is capable of 340 - 350......

If you want to upgrade brakes go for the k-Sport ones for shear value you can't beat em (I have ap Racing and K-sport).

Knowing what I know now, to have a complete car (if pushing 350bhp), yeah thats right your car isn't complete if you don't have these mods ....

You need better brakes (K-sports will do) or if not upgrade pads, discs and hoses on the standard brembo's.

Get wheel alignment done and anti-roll bars as minimum. Get whiteline Anti Lift kit, I also went steering bushes, engine mounts, lockdown system.

Suspension should be prodrive springs as minimum or Tein, KYB, or similar quality set up.

Other things I found benefical was the front splitters, with rear diffuser, with top wing (as per 06 models). Helped high speed stability.

Apologies to some of the previous threads. I didn`t explain myself correctly. (Scooby Newbie) My aim was more to improve my low end torque and to try and help the fact that I`m a lazy driver and dont change down gear when I should do for acceleration. I was lead to believe that the headers and twin scroll turbo would help in this matter. I wasn`t aiming to achieve 340bhp but have been told that thats what its got now. Hence my reply to the origional thread. As for the suspension and brakes,,, lower springs, anti lift, anti roll, upgraded hoses, fluid and pads, camber bolts and laser track set up. Cant afford much more but I hope that it should be enough to keep me safe. Thanks for all the advice though and I hope this all helps Scooby-93.

The standard top mount can easy take 350 plus I would stick with the original air box..Mine delivered just below 350 on a vf35 with a remap, panel filter, plugs, pump and full decat miltek.

Keep it simple & cheap.
2nd hand prodrive sports cat and 2nd decat section, fuel pump & remap.
This should cost no more than £1000.

350hp with a sports cat in?

Has anyone ever got that figure with one in? I know they arn't as bad as the OE cat but they are still restrictive.

I could squeeze just over 340 hp on my old 03 WRX, using STi/Prodrive bits and not pushing the VF35 very hard.
So how restrictive are the Prodrive sport cats then?

I have 354bhp and 340lbft from my 04 sti.
Scoobyclinc Stainless headers, up-pipe & turbo back 3" ss exhaust
k&N typhoon
3 port boost solenoid
Walbro fuel pump.
Mapped @ 1.5bar by Andy F.

And it still passes MOT emissions, and the mot is more strict here in Northern Ireland.

I don't know, take it out and let me know

we all know the cats in the downpipes are the most restrictive parts on the exhaust, what is "not pushing hard" when its at home?
