Cool Subaru paint correction by Envy Valeting

With no apologies to Tim, I have copied and pasted his thread off Detailing world. He was booked to do my WRX as was ashamed of the paint, not so now! Thankyou...

Been dreading it, nothing like a challenge!
Subaru WRX suffering from the "Body shop challenge", we'll mop it for you eek...

Here are some taster pics I took last week...

Booked the car for 2 days (just in case it dragged on) and I'm sooo glad I did.
Started the procedure like normal with some before pics:

Wheels cleaned 1st using the usual selection of Envy brushes and AS smart wheels

Pre-soaked with Espuma Activo foaming TFR

Rinsed and followed with an experimental SSF and allowed to dwell

Followed with a Duragloss shampoo wash with the TBM, grit guards and a Zymol sponge, rinsed and dried

Time to get a look at the defects

Clayed with polyclay but the paint was very smooth

The paint was corrected with a mixture of Menz IP, Menz FF, MarkV Mystique and Swissvax CF pro via the Metabo. Nothing was perfect for each panel and being a hot day hologramming was the problem. Correction good but needed refining after.

Nice little bit of bodyshop burn through

Protected

Not 100% RDS free but only 1 pass on the rear spoiler

Once all the machining was done it was time to clean up all the mess, followed by PC'ing the car with Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite.
Once done the weather changed, so I had to dry/wax, dry/wax the car and I chose Dodo Juice Supernatural.

Enjoy the afters, sorry they are wet!

Time taken 14.5hrs

Not the best looking in the befores up that left side - what a difference after 14.5 hours though ! Hard to beat the shine from a black car properly detailed up. Nice job.

Had a similar experience myself

Got it from a pro bodyshop in a similar 'before' state. Needless to say, didn't want them to 'have another go'.

Fair to say Tim has done a cracking job.

If anyone in South West area needs any detailing / correction work then can't recommend Tim enough. I think in this case, the pictures speak for themselves

Excellent results, shocking before images! A sensible working time too for a very high standard of correction.
