Just fitted a boost gauge and been on test
In third or fourth boost reaches 1.1 then settles back to 1.0
the car has PPP and falkland DP
This sound about right?
Going to fit a dawes soon so it will be interesting to see the difference.

If gauges "USUALLY UNDER READ by .05~.1bar", then one would EXPECT to see about 1 bar on a car running 1.1bar........

Gauges should be used as a guide, they are notoriously inacurate. They are also just as likely to "OVER READ", although under reading is more common. This applies equally to "electronic", and mechanical gauges.

For MY99/00, if your gauge is accurate (and some are out usually underreading by 0.05 - 0.1 bar) then it is too low for PPP, which usually runs 1.10 to 1.17 bar. It might be when your PPP was installed that the restrictor was made too large to control overboost. Dawes should allow you to go to 1.25 bar but get the usual checks and enlarge the bleed hole.

If your gauge is accurate then 1.0 bar is what many cars on standard ECU run with a downpipe. Sounds like Tony Burns has the same problem. Seems a shame you have PPP but MAY not be reaping most of the benefits.

Glad someone else agrees with me about the myth of the perfect device just because it is electronic.

And since we are both good as being picky then saying it is just as likely and then that one option is more common is equally fudgey
