0-60 on a VTEC 1.6i is given as about 7.1 in topgear mag etc. Thought about getting one prior to my good fortune of being in a position to own a wrx.

I believe the Honda Civic used was a supercharched Vti, which low down could well keep with the 911. Shame the film only had two decent car chases.

Ronin was better.

As said previously, definately civic with aero kit etc. Modified civics are very popular out in the states and there are some very extreme examples about.

When is it out on video?

According to amazon.co.uk 4th June 2001 on DVD (region 2) and video. Looks like its available now off amazon.com on DVD but obviously a US region 1 disc.

I've gotta agree with you, Ronin has some awesome chases in it.. Audi A8 Quattro tearing up the small streets of Paris & Nice.

Gone in 60 Secs.. O.K. film but to much bloody music, you couldn't hear what was going on.

Actually the fastest front drive Civic ran a 8.711@168.16mph. I was there, it ran a 8.725@167.82mph the next day to back it up.

Pretty stock eh? Its driven by Stephan Papadakis, and is heavily sponsored by Advanced Engine Managment. A very large Honda aftermarket company in the States.

BTW, I am not a fan of Hondas at all. I do infact drive an Impreza Turbo. It just has 2.5 litres of displacement
