Question Somebody confirm correct Oxygen sensor. PLS

Just found out that my Fozzie front oxygen sensor has gone to lambda graveyard in the sky. Presently trying to find out what is the correct replacement.

On the three sites that I have been looking at there is nothing that seems to match the run presently installed on the engine. It seems to have a suzuki type plug connector and has 4 wires (black, grey and white). Don't know if it is an original or a replacement installed before i owned the car.

I am running a Subaru Forester S Turbo AWD with an EJ205 engine variant (Information taken off plate in the engine bay) Y reg, first registration 03/2001.

Any help appreciated.

Obviously this must be a hard question to answer OR its just too bloody easy to answer and no one wants to bother.

Please guys, I just need some confirmation. So that i can fix my fozzie.

All 2001 onwards Subarus use 4 wire lambda sensors, so yes it is the original sensor.

Having a bit of difficulty in confirming a subaru oxygen sensor part number.

The guy from GMC in Chelsmford has said the front sensor has a code of

22690AA501

Gendan cannot confirm if this is correct (telephone). And Camskill say it is the code for the rear sensor (website).

Anyone here have any knowledge of what the code should be without me stripping down the front wheel bay and visually checking it.

It could be one of two sensors.

if you give me your chassis or reg number I will let you know which part no: is correct to your vehicle.

The code you have quoted above 22690AA501 is deffinately for the rear oxygen sensor. I have just spoken to Subaru dealer trying to find this out for myself.

The code for the front sensor is likely to be 22641AA042

Try these guys for some better advice, they will be able to confirm the part you need and a good price
