Default clutch judder !

after reading some old threads i think it could be the answer to my problem
just collected my m reg wagon today . its a fresh import as i drove it home i noticed in 1st gear as starting off slight judder .. am i right in thinking this could just be rust /dirt on clutch plate caused probably by be sat at docks who knows how long car as only done in total 108,000 kms /67.000 miles ....i thought clutch may be on its way out at first cause clutch is really high but does not slip at all ... i am going to try the launch test tomorrow i read if you rev up and let the clutch slip a bit it cleans the plate ......any advice would be helpful its not my first scooby and not come across it before .. it felt good being back in the saddle though ....

Have this on my bug - a launch with a bit of slip did seem to help, you won't like the smell though!

I get it on my classic sometimes when I initially pull away. After the first couple of times it seems to disappear.

I can't really see what high revs and riding the clutch will do other than wear the plate out? Normal pull offs, and driving should be more than enough.

If it judders all the time, then I've heard the spigot bearing can be on the way out (on the flywheel). The last clutch judder I had which was all the time ie on every pull off, was down to an overheated plate and flywheel but this was on a peugeot. A flywheel skim sorted that out.

I think judder on subarus is quite a common thing and nothing much to worry about unless it's constant

THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON IMPREZA'S BEST THING TO DO IF ITS ANNOYING YOU IS A BIT OF A LAUNCH AS MENTIONED BEST TO DO IT IN REVERSE AS IT IS JUST A BUILD UP OF RUST ON THE RIDE PLATE,
