elec arieal wont go down??

elec arieal wont go down??
i have pulled the head unit out, all wires are good, anything else i can check?
is there a fuse somewhere?
can i take the areal down by hand?
its on a version 6 sti

can you hear the motor going at all? Mine wouldn't go down but i could hear the motor, turned out the plastic tooth thing inside has snapped.

no noise from the motor, i have just pushed it down for now
