Default turbo heat sheild

hai, i think my turbo heat sheil is ratling when im driving and think its warped to the point its tuching the turbo, am i ok to take it off and drive without it on, or am i going to fry suming? haha

The most take it off when installing an other downpipe.

You can drive without it. No problem

You can drive without it no probs, but I noticed when mine was off that under bonnet temps were higher and even inlet temps ahad risen a few degrees, most likely becasue it was heating the intercooler when stationary for more than a few seconds. I ended up making a new bracket and re-fitting mine.

Mine rattled recently too. I kept the same one one but just got a large cable tie and secured it to stop it rattling. Solved the problem without having to remove it :-)
