I am gutted i need another rebuild just after 2500 miles!! i got the rebuild done in belfast but have recently moved to sunderland and the knocking has started again!!! ive been in touch with the engine builder and he is not standing buy the engine!!! the car is now with AS performance in birtley getting another rebuild as i have heard lots of good reports on allan!!! hopefully it will be done right this time!!! im new to the scooby world and just want to enjoy it! but no luck so far!! was just wondering if anyone else has had these problems?? x

 

Common when people take the car to non-specialists I'm afraid. You wouldn't believe the bodge jobs some people have had done to their cars by people who claim to know what they're doing!

Wasn't the original re-build under warranty? Assuming no abuse/dodgy spec by you, 2.5k miles is plain daft - crap build, no question!!

You've learned the expensive way: get the job done right first time, pay once!
