Was reading an article about Richard Burns and how he's got Porsche 911 GT3, Camaro, RB5 and *STI VI* in his garage(s) at the mo.

Just wondering if the STI VI is out yet - I'd forgotten all about it, but if I remember, its the last of the 'old shape' and they really went to town on the torque and bhp didn't they ?

Certainly is food for thought for anyone considering a P1.

The sti6 has been out for Jonks - as I under stand its pretty much the same as the sti5 with a few cosmetic mods.

The power/torque should be identical to the sti5

Cant comment on the P1 - thought this was an sti 5 ECU with a bit of boost restriction to allow it to run safely on RON 95 - and therefore a bit less powerful than the sti5/6?
Nice looking car though - shame some of the upgrades were not up to scratch - i.e the Alcon brake problems and tramlining on the 18inch wheel upgrades - nevermind eh

Tyanks Steve - maybe it was the STI 7 I was thinking of...

I'm sure it put out 300bhp+ with increased torque too. I think it was the final 'old shape' before the first of the new shape STi cars.

Anyone know about this ?

sorry, sorry, I'm talking bo**ocks - STi 7 - torque is up to 380 and bhp at 280

I think its based on the new shape car.

I'll shut up now.

Technically the New Age Impreza STi is known as the 'STi 1' cos it is based on a totally different car than the STi6!!! Just to confuse everybody...

BTW, Richard had an STi6 in Cool Grey as well as a Legacy B4. Both brought in by Prodrive as 'Greys'. They do a lot of this, as The Chairman of International Motors (the UK importer of Subaru) has just sold his Legacy B4. And there are a few imports knocking around the head office as well...

Rob.

Yep... STi6 was the same car as the STi5. Power and torque identical to the STi5.

Only differences were cosmetic.

New Front splitter
WRC Rear wing

... and colour changes.

No Limited Edition Sonic Blue, but reintroduction of the Yellow....

Cheers

Scott.
