Default help with my blitz nur spec r !

just ordered a blitz nur spec r for my04 wrx, i also have a 3" sports cat to go in front of that....

but.......!

noticed the nur spec r shrinks to a 2.5" neck to fit the standered cat. is this going to be a problem when attaching to my 3" pipe???

please advise

cheers

When you say 3", I assume you're referring to the sports cat flange's bolt-holes point to point spacing, yes?

If so (and I might be wrong on this) but I reckon your Nur Spec R's 2.5" centre-section flange WILL mate with the 3" downpipe flange... BUT using a 3" flat 'diamond'-type gasket, rather than the normal donut/cone type wire-wool one (assuming New Ages still use the wire wool one anyway?).

When you receive the Nur Spec R, measure the point to point distance of your centre-section's flange holes... I'm certain they'll be 3" apart, so should bolt to the 3" flange of your d/p okay.

To put it simply... For joining centre-sections to downpipes, all bolt holes - for either 2.5"- or 3"-bore pipework - are spaced at 3". If you are mating 3"-bore to 3"-bore, or 2.5"-bore to 3"-bore, then use a- 3" flat diamond' jobbie. If it's OEM 2.5"-bore to 2.5"-bore, then use the OEM-sized donut... I think(?) LOL.
