The only box that I am aware of that uses a cooler is a spec C RA 6 speed what are you talking about if not a 6 speed ??

In any case most transmission oil cooler set ups can be blanked or recirculated without the need for the cooler to actually be fitted.

Give us more info of what you have, so we can help advise you.

Certain Forester and Leggy gearboxes use an oil cooler built into the bottom of the rad.

What's the gbox code?

That's true, I had forgotten those. In any case the oil cooler system can stiil be blanked. No real need to connect it on a road car in my opnion.

i was looking for the slightly stronger box (ty754) and the seller which i have yet to aquire the ty755 box from told me this one should do but needs an oil cooler. i have spoke to david a while ago and give some top notch advice on which gear box to get. the only thing is lack of funds. so no six speed yet or ppg. ive tryed two ty752s and blew 3rd over time. so im looking to see if a ty754 will help 4 now and if any of you good folk knowing where i can get one at a reasonable price to suit a 4.1 diff would be very greatfull or is the ty755 box worth getting

I am fairly sure that the TY755 is a UK only box with 3.545 rear diff required. as It will have 1.1:1 drop gears and a 3.9 front diff.

You can just loop the pipes from the oil cooler back to each other so that it just goes around in a circle. No need to do more than that.

You really are VERY limited trying to find a TY 754 with 4.1 ratio as the only box that I am aware of having that spec is JDM MY99/00 WRX Wagon Box code TY 754 VB1AA.

Good Luck, David

TY755 could be 4.11 or 4.44 diff depending on exactly which box.
