Has anyone tried one of these instead of bleeding and what was overboost like.

As the Scoob uses a closed loop system adjusting the actuator rod length will give you little or no more boost (although slightly more torque may be achieved), as the duty cycle of the boost control solenoid will be adjusted to keep boost at the stock levels.

Bleeding has the effect of bleeding air away from the actuator quicker than the solenoid can adjust hence allowing more boost.

The Dawes setup removes the solenoid so thus gives the Dawes full control over the actuator.
