I know the bugeye went into production in 2000 and there are 2000 registered bugeyes but were the 2000 registered ones only dealer demo cars or were they actually sold to the general public in Japan in 2000?

Ireland had a few Dealer demo cars on 2000 plates that where Bug Eyes almost bought one a few years back, so it would have been available in Jap Land for a couple of months before us as a puplic sale car!
