Default 2.5 Clutch PPP

I have an 06 2.5WRX and have done 30,000 miles. How much longer should the clutch last? Been told today to expect a bill for £1000 for a new clutch in the next three to six months!! Is this true or is someone pulling my chain? oh its only running 266bhp.

how long is a piece of string ........its all depends on one's driving really, I had the oem clutch on my P1 for 40K and still going stronge before I had a 2.5 coversion done with a HKS twin plate clutch.

even though you might need to replace it soon , i doubt it will be more than 700-800 from a indepedant Subaru specialist

Cheers bighead.. most of my driving is motorway 60-70mph rush hour stuff(yawn) but I dont take part in the traffic light grand prix so was surprised that the dealer sugests that my clutch feels heavy and will need replacing soon.

I managed to get through a clutch in 3 months, get it changed before it goes completely, thus avoiding having to replace your flywheel.
