Default clutch change advice needed

I have a 1995 impreza wrx import, when on my way to work yesturday the clutch started slipping quite badly so am looking to buy a new clutch kit, would be very grateful if anyone could tell me how big a job it is and if they have done it themselves just to give a few pointers etc, or if anyone knows of anywhere in the Northumberland area that do a cheap but ok job, and the cheapest place to get a clutch kit, any help would be great.

Thanks
Dan.

it is quite a big job if you do it yourself.
I done mine on axle stands and the main problem i came up against was dropping the box and putting it back in, everything else was pretty easy.
It makes things much harder working from axle stands.
here is a guide to look at.

Remove intercooler,
Remove starter.
unbolt the clutch slave.
There is an allen bolt next to where the starter was( remove) 10mm allen key.
Removing this allows you into the clutch pivot.
screw an m6 bolt into the threads of the pivot and pull it out.

drain gearbox oil.

you then need to undo the bolts at the top of the gearbox and the nuts at the bottom.
cant remember which order next steps happen but ..
remove propshaft cover at output shaft and remove the bolts at the bearing bracket and drop the propshaft down.

I released both bottom ball joints for releasing the driveshafts.

remove both the pins through the driveshafts and pull out driveshafts

remove the gearbox cradles (support with a jack)

now your box should be ready to drop out
