Hi,
Need some advice.
My 2002 STi has the full AST treatment, whiteline arbs, droplinks, etc etc.
I've been getting lots of clunking from the front and Curt from Powerstation said the Whiteline droplinks (which are rose jointed) tend to wear and then make clunking noises which to be honest are very loud. Curt has checked the car out and everything else is fine.
So, if the droplinks do this, is there another solution that I can use ?
A friend of mine is using the Whiteline Classic Solid droplinks on his Newage with no problems.
Should I look at another brand ?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks.

Hi Marklemac,
Mine have started doing this too !
I'm hoping that my supplier will "bully" a set from the wholesalers.....
But I think they are just too "precious" for road use, I will get alloy type if I have to, can't do with the banging.

Curt said the rose joint is ****e and basically has a bit of play in it.
If I can source an alternative type of droplink that doesn't do this, then I'll buy them.

You do have to maintain these joints.
They will never survive the winter etc, and to my mind are motorsport parts, not road only / daily driver parts.
A drop of 3 in 1 or engine oil sneaked in behind the seals or a squirt of silicon spray into the ball behind the seals.
They are not fit and forget. OEM ones are.
