Whiteline Bump Steer Mod
Right, looking at it, am I right in saying that it is essentially a 'raised' ball joint? This should give the wishbone back it's downward pointing angle on lowered suspension. I think it's generally considered a bad thing to have wishbones level or pointing up (in the case of extreme lowering) when the car is static.
Would this be any good with a car on Eibach springs? I'm unsure if the springs fitted to Impreza's are lowered or oe ride height, sorry
I just cannot stand the way the car is tracking at the moment. That could be down to the tyres I guess (stiff tyre walls), geometry or wear in bushes etc. When jiggling the steering from left to right at standstill, I can hear or feel no knocks nor any undue slackness in the steering. If the inner wheel catches the camber near the side of the road, it literally tugs the steering over. If you ain't ready, it can be a bit of a brown trouser moment!

Sounds to me the car needs to go on a real alignment bed (like the ones at Powerstation)
It could just as easily be the rear toe as the front end.
The Whiteline ball joit/track control arm mod is to restore roll centre position on the front on lowered cars.
I have run my dead straight steering Classic on 'level front wishbones' for 4 years with zero probs.
I think you need to get the car back to basics first, esp if there could be damage under there (ie curbed car).
It will be well worth your while driving to Powestation to have Curtis there do the car from scratch, Junc 9 on the M5 + 1/8 mile.
Mine will drive hands off on any straight road and it is fully loaded with mods and angles for track racing + road driving. (in that order)
Graham.

Got to agree with you there to be honest. It's what I was thinking originally, getting it simply checked out.
The car drives fine in a straight line and on smooth roads, hit a smallish pot hole though (plenty around Berkshire) and the front wheels feel like their snatching. For this reason, I don't think there is a massive issue that a proper geo set up won't sort out.
The wishbone argument was from another forum. I too used to run my old hatchback with horizontal wishbones with no discernable issues. I had no bump steer mods though.
I might not be able to make it to Powerstation due to time/distance but Power engineering are a little closer to me so I'm hoping they will have the know how (I'm sure they will).
