Default Digital clock removal 02 STI

Anyone give me a rough guide to removing the digital clock on my 02 sti?

It appears to have given up the ghost and need to get it out, I can lift the back part i.e near the windscreen up but cant move the front nearest the heater vents...

Is it a total lift up or up and towards the front of the car, I dont want to force it and break any clips etc..

any help greatfully received....

Andy

It does just lift up. I had to take mine off also because the clock died (01 model).
I was concerned it would break too but you just need to be a little brutal, lever it up with your fingers from the windscreen edge then tilt as high as you can until the hooks at the other edge pop free.
Getting the clock out is another challenge altogether, it's held in place by plastic which needs to be bent out of the way without snapping it.

I got another clock from a breakers as they're quite expensive from Subaru

i took the streo a cup holder out to gain acces to front clips then lifted end nearest to screen easy ones to unclip and then used a large srewdriver to pop the front clips, even then i,thought the dash was going to break before the clips finaly poped out!
