I dont know if this has been mentioned here before but I just got a newish front cat put on my car and the garage asked if I wanted the old one back as a scrap metal dealer would pay up to £50 for it to get their hands on the platinum and whatever other expensive metals are inside. The old one was not actually knackered so I'd said to them I'd maybe see if someone wanted it just for MOT's or something then he told me that.

I was a bit doubtful but took it away and phoned a few places today. He was right enough, first place said £40 over the phone without even seeing it.

I'm maybe just miles behind everyone else but I was pretty surprised. Kwik Fit must make a killing!
