Ummmmmmmm!
Hi Guys n Girlz
After years of wanting, months of saving and weeks of looking I finally got a Scoob of my own - a UK300 and can now enjoy what most of you guys have done for ages.
Couple of things though - the car seems very tight even though its done 5000 miles and there does'nt seem to be much grunt below 2500rpm then it comes on big stylee - is there a problem or have i got to adapt to driving a turbo'd car.
Also have already had a trouser marking moment when the ABS seemed to cut in a bit too early for my liking - is this normal.
Sorry if the questions are a bit daff, but I am a Scooby Newbie and if you don't ask...

If its a stacking system, they have a switch on them somewhere to adjust the damping, depending on whether it is mounted horizontally or vertically if this is set incorrect you'l get masses of skipping.
Worth a try eh!

Seamus, Im thinking of going to my dealer and making them sort it out, its scandalous that the CD player is so ****. Ive been in many hire cars and they dont have any probs.. I thought at first it was maybe coz it was a harshish ride, but it isnt that, its just poor quality CD player.
Dave, in answer to your other problem, it could well be because you are not used to driving a turbo'd car. My scoob was the first I drove (had GTIs before that) and I was thoroughly disappointed when I put my foot to the floor at low revs, looked like I'd need a calendar for planning overtaking.
Then I worked out gear ratios and how and when to downshift for the overtake
Have fun, but DON'T don't lift off when going round corners.

Sorry to tell you this - but you need to order a PPP - get another £1600 out of your pocket right now!
Its a must if you want awesome performance and a warrenty.
If warrenty not an issue get a Scoobysport full exhaust inc up pipe and down pipe.
About a match (allegedly but im not as yet driven one) for the PPP but you'll fail emissions test!!
