you need a press and if any gears have sheared you will need to clean or replace all bearings in the box.

Dont want to hijack the thread, but I am also looking for a mildly uprated gearset, as I keep blowing 2nd and 3rd gear in my ty754 box

Interested in a cheaper alternative to the straight cut gearsets on flat4online.co.uk but not necessarily a straight cut set, just uprated gears and bearings... any ideas ?

Gents, the only way to assure they do not snap is to go uprated, the full monte:

PPG semi helical with synchro = £3K ish in the end, car on the road.

Alternative is the mighty 6 speed transmission, £2K car on the road.

PPG's from Zen/API/Scoobyclinic etc = competition on price.
