Digitec Chip for early classics
The below is copied from their ebay ad. I had it fitted to my wrx and it works! but im going standalone now so its of no use to me... they sell them for £99 +postage so ill take 80 posted for it as it was used for about 2weeks
This is a Genuine Subaru Impreza PRO Power Upgrade imported direct from japan.
Back in the early days Subaru used to offer this Chip Upgrade to it's customers just like they now offer the ProDrive upgrade pack
on the newer models.
This chip will Fit All Impreza models From 1992-1996
U.K Models, Imports, WRX, STI, Turbo - ect.
Fitting this chip will:
Raise your boost level to 16psi / 1.1Bar (Safely)
Change all your fuel maps, Giving you better fuel Economy
Changes the ignition maps, Which Improve turbo spool up times
Remove the 112mph speed limiter on japanese imports
Allow you to run normal British super unleaded Fuel safely
Retain all of the ecu's standard saftey features
NOT make the 'check engine' light stay on all the time
Increase BHP & Torque By up to 30%
The Power Increase varies depending on application and supporting mods, but a typical increase for the Early WRX will be about 40BHP. Some cars, including UK have been very close to 300BHP. Some STi as much as 310BHP. It's difficult to be more precise as cars vary and some modification combinations work better then others.
It comes with Full Detailed Fitting Instructions, Telling you exactly what to do.
Installation is easy, on most ecu's it will take about 10mins (it just plugs in) on others you will need to solder in a socket which is included, but again this is not difficult.
