Unhappy fuel in oil?

i have just removed the oil from my 95 sti, as i noticed it was smoking a bit. when i took the sump bolt out the oil ran out like it was water, it smells of fuel too. what could cause it to let fuel get into the oil, cheers phil.

I read on here recently that if you do alot of short journeys then this can happen (dont know how my self tho)

They also said it builds up if you do alot of short journeys (like myself), as the oil doesnt get up 2 temp enough so that the fuel gets burnt off. Was recommended that a long run out will burn it off

Dont hold me to this tho

thanks, it could be that, as i rebuilt the engine a few months ago and havent really drove it much, its just been on the drive and round the block a few times. i forgot to mention it has bigger injectors in too, could that cause it, as its not been mapped to take them yet, so in idle it will be pooring the petrol in.

bigger injectors and no mapping will cause it,opening time will be same as smaller ones but they are chucking more fuel in.
to be honest i would not drive it with the bigger injectors and no mapping as you could end up knackering the engine by over fuelling

thanks for all the help, ill put some oil back in and get the injectors changed just for the time being, then when im ready for the remap, ill pop them back in. the engine needs running in, so no need to stress it for no reason, thanks again, phil.
