Hi guys,

Im on a mission to purchase my first impreza so im after some advise if i may.

Looking to spend around 5K and im going for the turbo, ive looked on the AT and theres quite a few different additions so i need some help here !!!
What would you recommend ? I dont wnt something thats gonna be sky high on insurance and drinks fuel etc

Something standard i would of thought.

They all have a drink problem lol but this can be controlled with the right foot? As for insurance the UK (turbo 2000) cars r cheaper to insure but are a tad slower than the imports (WRX etc....) When u look at the early imprezas make syre the clutch and gearbox r all in good order?

bug eye Wrx is prob your best bet mate, if you like the shape that is.

Or a mint classic? they drive different so best bet is to take a few out.

 

So are all the WRXs imports ?

 

You could get a classic STi RA for that money mate if u shop around, more expensive insurance but a good foundation to start if u catch the tuning bug.

 

On the classic shape impreza yes all the WRX's r imports, but the bug eye shape onwards wer avaliable over here as a WRX model
