Default transporting an Impreza engine,will it fit in my estate

possibly transporting my impreza engine,
firstly will it fit in the back of a volvo 850 estate?
and will it sit flat on the floor ie without damaging it / wont tip over?

should fit mate! i got one in the back of a 106 lol!!! pics to prove!!!! You'll need to tie it down as she'll rock on the sump!

I managed to get hold of a pallet last time I transported an Impreza engine. Cut the pallet in half, used ratchet straps to fasten the engine to it and then lifted the whole lot into the back on my Discovery using the engine crane. It kept it much more stable than just lifting the engine in.
