When renewing the timing belt I assume you need to remove the radiator to gain extra clearance space ?

If the car has A/C do you need to remove the A/C 'radiator' as well?
If so, I guess you need to get the A/C 'drained' and refilled

(And yes, I known its not really a A/C radiator its a condensor)

Just deciding what else is involved in a DIY timing belt renewal
(alrady know about the clamping timing pulleys and renewing and compressing belt tensioner)

Watch out for the grill bracket attached to the rear of the headlight when removing the rad. thats how mine got snapped off. Means I still have to buy a new headlight!!

Removing the radiator/condensor will give you more room to change your belt, but it can be done with both still in place, all you need to do is remove both of the cooling fans, upper radiator mounting brackets, front grill & move the power steering cooler out of the way.

Worth giving it a go, as this will save you having to drain any fluids and going to the expense of an aircon regas.

You would be better of draining the radiator and then refilling with fresh coolant. It will give you more room. You can leave the air con in place. To get the radiator out remove the top and bottom hoses and the brackets at the top (near the grill) and pull up.
