polish or wax

just a daft question really after washing whats the best polish then wax ,wax then polish ,just polish or just wax just want to get it nice and shiny

Wax goes on last otherwise you just take it off when polishing.

Wax everytime. Swissol/Swissvax Shield wax is my weapon of choice but theres lots out there to choose from

Polishes generally will cut away a little paint, chemically clean the paint - or both - or add glazing oils to the paint (or all 3, or combo of 2). A wax is a final sealant and so should be used last.
