Although I still get 'merry' at my advancing age, I don't get plastered anymore.

I'm thinking back when I grew up enough to stop being a silly billy, I reckon I was about 25 years old when I realised how much it was costing me and I had a mortgage to pay off.

I didn't just stop, simply the number of times per year dropped from maybe 20, to 10, to 5, to 2 ..... about the age of 30 sees it drop to once per year, if that.

So, who has grown up and who will still get trashed and waste all that money?!

 

me, don't want to get drunk, as soon as I start to swap slightly I slooooow down or drink coke for a while

 

I hardly get trashed now im 30,but did go out the other week and get sh*t faced and was even sick in the wife's car(which she wasn't pleased with)

 

i went on a 2 year bender after i separated from my ex drinking at least 6-8 pints of stella a day (2 at lunch, 2 on the train, another 4 in the evening - easily done) and loads more at the weekends.

I have no idea what damage i did, so I try to keep from getting drunk as much as poss

 

As soon as my son was born getting rat arsed every weekend went outta the window. I like to think I have grown into a more mature, grumpy old git

 

It is nice to get 'battered ' every now and then..

just nowhere near as often now.. two reasons mainly.. two fekkin Mortgages and her indoors gives me soooooo much grief my poor (hungover) head just cat take it....

 

Never grew into it in the first place, I am happy to say

I'm 29 now.. and haven't "drank to excess" for a while. Although I did have a number of various vodka shots, a couple of pints, a couple JD's+coke and a Mojito (I'm not gay.. just in case anyone's wondering - I genuinely like them.. ) last night and I was feeling a bit worse for wear this morning, it was merry rather than totally wa**ered last night.

I think I was about 25 as well when I realised that I was going out for a heavy night and taking 48hours to feel normal after it - which obviously isn't good
