I thought it was illegal anyway? Or is that soliciting?

Bizzarre law if you ask me, it's like they are putting up laws to prevent marketing.

That joke would be funnier if it wasn't actually the reason why prostitution is still legal. Successive governments for over 100 years have been unable to find a definition of prostitution which wouldn't also cover some marriages.

@ M - If they were to introduce a method of taking utility bills into consideration ( all lights unnessarily on, & central heating at full blast ), I'm sure they'd find a way to distinguish between the two.

Personally I think the opposite and brothels should be legalised. If you want this kind of thing, then it should be properly run and the government can take their tax as well...

True, but where's the fun in that ?

Remove the naughty element, and the thrill is lost.

It isn't naughty for you as it is perfectly legal for you to engage in whatever you like unless you are kerb crawling. More protection for the girls is hopefully what making things legal would give.

This is the usual government thing: target the easy option.

Prossies openly walking the street, openly approaching people, cars etc etc. What happens? Nowt. Police ignore them.

Guy approaches one................what happens? Guy's arrested, fined etc etc.

Presumably paying for sex with men or transexuals will remain legal which would befit Labours standards.
