Just contacted these people to try and find out why I can buy a Schweppes brand of pop in France called "Agrum",*** (which means citrus), but CAN'T buy it in the UK.

Their answer basically consisted of three parts:

We confirm you can't buy it in the UK.
The brands we DO sell are all you'll ever need
Tough luck.

*** It's a blend of o orange, grapefruit, lime and mandarin. MUCH nicer than stuff we get here.

Probably some rubbish about whats in it does not meet UK standards or blah.

 

Could you buy a crate or two on the net somewhere? Carrefour?

It's probably down to some marketing reason, like focus groups have tried it and said the UK wouldn't really like it so not worth the bother.

Snazy, don't think it would be UK standards, don't think that's legal in the EU.

 

If there is a market for it I might pop over this afternoon and fill the boot up Something to do innit

It's known as Soda Agrum' and can be bought at Carrefour for Eur 3.35 for a 6 can pack. Can only see the diet version in 1.5 litre bottles.
Looks quite nice, shame you can't seem to get it here.

Root beer tastes like ralgex smells if that makes any sense! Horrible stuff.

WARNING: Agrum is to be avoided by some people on certain blood pressure pills as it contains grapefruit.

 

You cant get A.C.E over here too, that stuff is lavish!
