Flashing lights on dashboard
I've an 03 scoob WRX, I have recently changed the battery and since then I have three red flashing lights when the car is stopped and locked. The first light next to the clock I know is supposed to flash, but now I also get a red key flashing under the rev counter and also a small red light on the standard stereo/radio. I'm wondering whether these lights are flashing because of the loss of power when the battery was changed and thus the systems need re-setting?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Nigel

I have an 04 Sti. I don't have the light by the clock. The red key is showing the imobiliser is armed (normal) and the standard stereo also has a flashing red light.

Funny you should mention this. I was cleaning the interior of my 05WRX during my nightshift last night, no power disconnected or anything else unusual. But noticed that after I was done and locked the car using the fob the red key light under the rev counter was flashing every 2 seconds, it hasn't done that before and I have owned the car for nearly 3 years. The only light that flashed before was the one on top of the centre console . Looked up the owners manual and it says that it's the immobiliser armed light. So why didn't it do it before

No doubt it did, but you've never noticed it..!
Seriously, iirc it comes on after a few seconds of locking and with remote locking you usually lock whilst walking away and unlock before you get to car. Therefore, you're very unlikely to be standing next to the car whilst locked..
