Air bag light?
I Fitted a OMP steering wheel 3 weeks ago with a momo hub and a k sport quick release hub.
After getting the old steering wheel off I discovered the momo hub was not the right one, the splines fitted perfect but it did not mate up with the "ReeL" that contains the wiring for the steering wheel. So after a moments pause I butchered it and made it fit perfect.Wired in the resistor for the air bag. Reconnected the battery no air bag light, took the car for test run over a few roundabouts and broke the "ReeL".I then paused for another momment and set about making my own "ReeL" with a long peice of stranded flex. I made connection in the steering colmun for the horn and the airbag.
BUT I DID NOT disconnect the battery this time and after sticking every thing back together I have the air bag warning light on . the resistor is soldered up perfect and is in good order and I have tried disconnecting the battery for half an hour, but nothing. The home made "ReeL" is working perfectly and steering wheel and hub are great.
Does any one know how to reset the air bag light?
Sorry for the long jackanory but thought all the info would help ,any help would be great.

You shouldn't have to reset the light at all, all the light does is look for the correct "electrical load" in the circuit.
I would get a multimeter and resistance check the wire you put in, then I would resistance check the resistor you used and make sure it matches what the colour code says its resistance is within its given tolerance.
I'll be honest, you are more than liekely better off just going to a scrapper and getting a new spinner unit. the wafer thin ribbon cable inside is very delicate and doesnt like being removed and manually rewound back in.
I paid £30 for one from a scrapper and I still feel I was over charged but in the long run its worth it.

Thanks for the comments, the reel I made up is probabley better than the OME part , that bit is fine, its just the light. As I said the when I fiirst did the steering wheel the light was off and after I re did it ,it came on? The connection is in the steering column for air bag resistor and as nothing to do with my reel. I am only guessing the ristance is correct on the airbag link because of the first time when the light was not eluminated.
