Question

HI ALL GOT A TURBO SMART BLEED VALVE.NOT SURE HOW TO FIT IT.SHOULD I INSTALL IT WITH THE ECU CONTROLED SOLINOID OUT ALLTOGETHER AND IS THE SECOND PIP TO A VALCUM ADVANCE RETARD RELAY OF SOME SORT.ALL HELP PLEASE

Hi, I had one of these up until a few months back, very good piece of kit for the money.

Look on www.turbosmart.com.au and you can download a pdf of the installation instructions.

No you don't remove the standard solenoid, the bleed valve tricks it by leaking air out of the system so the solenoid activates at higher boost (I think)

When I had mine fitted, it was screwed all the way in. This resticted boost to about 7 psi. keep opening a quarter of a turn at a time then check boost by going for a blast after each adjustment, but be careful, the higher you get, the more of a difference the adjustment makes to boost, so it's easy to overdo it. I'd get an air fuel ratio meter too so you can check that you are not running too lean.
