Hope I'm the only one but,just under 10k and reverse got worse then after skidpan on the weekend next day no second gear at all!!!
Gone into dealer Today so keep u guys posted?

I too have MY01 with only 4000km on the clock. Havent done any skid pan tests but what the fark. You have totally lost 2nd gear??? Did you do anything out of the normal ie: crunching gears etc...
Get back to me...i am real curious as this is unacceptable and should never happen.
A WRX is meant to be thrashed over and over again.......

Well heard back from the dealer today and they sat broken selector fork. F**k what!!!!
Belive me no undue hammer on skidpan and yes you are right it should handle anything that power output gives!
Was going to up power with APS kit in Feb,but now not to sure.
Reverse a pain since new.day after pan hard to select 1st,later that day no 2nd.reverse the same as before.
(Saving grace have ordered STI for next year)
car back tomorrow so keep you posted.

Sounds pretty ordinary...Whats a selector fork and what do they cost? Under warranty I hope?
