Lights
Hi Guys,
I am looking to replace my side, main and fog light bulbs to something giving a little more illumination. I know this subject has been covered alot in the past few posts, but I'm getting confused and my brain hurts, so to sum up the alternatives;
PIAA bulbs, very white but very expensive and possibly prone to blowing ?
Halfords 80/100W mains plus PIAA sides, good match ?
Powerbulbs Vision plus, sides, main 55/60W and fogs.
So I think the cost puts the PIAA bulbs last, but question to those who have used the Phillips bulbs, are they as bright as the Halfords bulbs as they are 55/60W vs 80/100W, or just as good as with my declining eye-sight I need them to be as good as possible.
At least I now know I can improve the yellow sidelights.
Thanks in advance.

The Vision Plus Phillips is IMHO better than the Halfords bulbs but mine are kept at the recommended 55/60, and are far far better than the standard stuff.
The Phillips Blue Vision make a good white sidelight for next to the Vision Plus.
Fog lights shouldn't make much difference what you shove in there to be honest!!!
Cheers

I agree with the above the only thing i can add is that some people have had major grief with putting high wattage bulbs in the standard lights some people say the wiring isn't up to it and also the plastic reflectors can melt etc??
Thanks Chaps, I have ordered a pair of Vision plus as they seem to have a good rep. plus at the moment you get a free pair of sidelights which I was going to order anyway.
Thinking about it I came to the same conclusion re. the fogs, and will probably stick with what I have until I decide to change to driving lamps.
