I am in the throes of a later model facelift.

Next step is changing the lights tommorrow , I have noticed that my exisitng lights WRX 94 only has one main electrical input a three pin socket in centre of rear headlamp.

On the UK cars the lamps I am changing for there is a black box fitted to the corner of each unit with an additonal wire .Is this an adjuster of sorts?

Presumably the main light will still work if I remove this unit or leave it disconnected. In any event there is nothing to connect it two on the WRX .

I have heard in past UK cars have a headlamp adjuster is it this ?

Any help prior to fitting appreciated

Cool

It sounds like you are describing the headlight adjust motor.
It will not affect the car but remember that you will need to adjust the new lights to an "acceptable" set up.

Good luck.
