Default 2003 WRX REAR SHOCK

Hi there,i have a 2003 wrx and the rear shock has had it ,i am going to replace it myself and was just wondering if its an easy job on a scale of 1-10?The bit im a bit worried about is getting the spring back in ,do you have to compress it or does it slip in and you tighten from the top?any help would be great.....thanks

Hi there,i had a look today as the car seemed to be sitting slightly lower on one side and the tyre is starting to wear on the inside, both on the side with the dodgy shock...When i looked closer at the shock ,i could see that it is leaking ,all wet and sticky...i checked the spring and no probs there,so i reckon its the shock....cheers

I recently replaced my rear shocks (well, a garage fitted them for me). If it feels a bit like a boat going over the waves then they are definately gone. That is what mine felt like.

Shocks don't have anything to do with ride height, that is a spring thing.
