Default Classic-rear license plate lights

Replaced one of the rear license plate bulbs last year with great difficulty, because the bolts were so badly corroded, the only way to remove them was to drill them out.

Replaced the bulb and the bolts with nice shiny new ones only to discover, 1 year later, that the new ones look just like the old ones now....bummer!

I now have to replace both bulbs and wondered if anyone has any better ideas as to how I can remove the bolts more easily and also what to replace them with, as drilling the old bolts out is a pain in the butt.

Any ideas?

Also, I checked the user manual in case it was just a faulty fuse, but I couldn't find a separate fuse for it. Is there a separate fuse?

Thanks in advance, norry.

No been there done that, I to have to replace one of mine now.
A real pain in the ar*e, very poor design, looks like we will be getting the drill out again, may use nylon nuts and bolts this time.

Yep, was thinking along those lines myself.

Either that or cable ties and some silicone sealant!
