Hi guys
Fitted my Defi's today but have a problem with the oil pressure light. It now stays on constantly (the OE one) and im not sure which wire i need to disconnect to stop this happening. Thing being there was an after market gauge fitted in its place beforehand, this gauge used a braided hose running from a cylindrical control unit/t-piece down to the sensor just below the alt. There was also a green wire cable tied with it that ran under the alt somewhere (i couldnt quite trace it). Im assumeing that the green wire is the one i need to disconnect but obviously need to be certain before i start snipping.
I plumbed the defi sensor into the hole under the alt and the gauge works fine ,its just the oil light which is annoying.
Also i need to get 2 adaptors... 1 for the oil temp and 1 on exhaust temp to fit in the up-pipe take off.
Does anybody know where i can get these bits ?? and if possible part numbers please
Thanks in advance

sounds like the green wire is the standard oil pressure wire.
worth getting a standard oil pressure sensor and T pice it in with the defi.
or a small screw driver and knock the bulb out

The standard oil pressure switch closes on low pressure, so the light when the connector is disconnected stays off. It's only when this connector is grounded the light comes on. Check the connector isn't touching the block etc and is secured out of the way.

Ok cheers guys sorted the oil light problem now...and the oil temp adaptor is on order.
My only problem now is finding an adaptor for the exhaust temp sensor so that it will fit in my up-pipe. Its a rcm up-pipe if that makes a difference, rcm say there is'nt an adaptor which fit so they usually just weld the sensor in place. I dont really want to do that as the pipe is obviously fitted to the car and its also heat wrapped.
Is there a way round this that you guys know of ??
