Well after a little hack around my local D-limit roads last night I've managed to strip 3rd gear, which now sounds like its bouncing around in my gearbox
Now happy to say the least, as I was supposed to be taking it to Nuremburg next month. So suppose its question time now folks.

What options do I have open to me?? Does anyone know how much a 2nd hand gearbox is, or how much it'll cost to replace the gear???

If it helps I'm located Nr Portsmouth and the Engine is an EJ25 in a '95 WRX.

If only I could blame someone else for all this!!! Grrrrrr.......

depends if you want it reliable in the future.
Do it once and do it right.
Personally I'd be fitting a six speed box, but you could put in an uprated gearkit.
Similar prices either way.

The Gearbox is a TY752VB3FA by the way

 

Go for 6 speed or ppg box expensive but worth it.
You will agree with me when you have rebuilt yours many times!!!! Trust me i know.

Get yourself over to Hampshire Subaru lots of helpful people on there.I'd suggest trying Len at Subaru 4 U in Newbury or API
